JV Soccer falls 2-1 to St. Pats in Championship Game

The JV Soccer team compiled an 11-3-2 overall record and a second place finish this year in the Regional Tournament. The Bulldogs won the quarterfinals 3-0 over Peter & Paul and won 1-0 in the semis over Pope John Paul II on a goal; with 2 minutes left. The outstanding defense was led by Jack Eggleton, Dana Cicchitti, Jack Strohman, Mike O’Donnell, Will Marshall and Keeper Mike O’Neil. The offense was led by Jack Zeigler with all four goals and Alexis Odgers. Mary Corcoran, Luke Gabriele, Rudy Gabriel, Eddie Morris, Julia Walton, Gabe Fairorth and Shaun Zeigler controlled the midfield as the Bulldogs rode to the finals.
On a cold wet field this past Saturday St. Pat’s took an early 1-0 lead but St. Norbert’s battled back to tie the game at 1-1. Then just before halftime St. Pat’s slipped a goal in and the Bulldogs spent the entire second half with scoring chances but were not able to put one past the stingy St. Pat’s keeper.
